[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] SEOUL – Starting July 31 (local time), users in the U.S. and Canada will be able to purchase cryptocurrency on Coinbase using Samsung Pay, the companies announced on July 30.

The integration adds Samsung Pay as a new payment and deposit option alongside bank transfers, Apple Pay, and Google Pay already supported on Coinbase.

A Samsung Electronics representative stated:

“Samsung Pay will simply be added as another convenient option within Coinbase’s existing top-up methods.”

Coinbase highlighted that the partnership combines Samsung’s trusted mobile wallet with Coinbase’s secure and user-friendly platform, offering “a smoother crypto entry point for millions of mobile users in North America.”

The feature will roll out gradually to select users in the U.S. and Canada over the next month, with full availability expected soon.
