[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Coupang's parent company, Coupang Inc, has recruited Microsoft (MS) artificial intelligence (AI) experts as Board of Directors.
Coupang announced on the 26th that CVP of Asha Sharma and general manager of AI platform products have joined the board of directors of its parent company, Coupang Inc.
Sharma, an Indian-American, served as vice president of Facebook product and chief operating officer (COO) of Instacart, a food delivery company, and currently oversees Microsoft's AI platform, Azure product division.
Microsoft announced last month that it will install GPT-4o, the latest AI model of Chat GPT developer Open AI, on its cloud service Azure AI, and Sharma is also known to have contributed to the project.
