[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] NCSoft announced on the 18th that its MMORPG Lineage 2M will be serviced in China through a collaboration between Tencent Games and Xiaomingtaiji.
On October 25, Lineage 2M received an overseas game license (import approval) for operation in China through Xiaomingtaiji. The local publishing responsibilities will be jointly handled by Tencent Games and Xiaomingtaiji. The game will be launched under the Chinese title, Paradise 2: Oath.
Tencent Games unveiled the official website for Lineage 2M on the 18th and shared its plans for the game's release in China. NCSoft and Tencent are currently working together to localize the game for the Chinese market, with details such as the launch date to be announced later.
The original PC MMORPG Lineage 2, which Lineage 2M is based on, was first launched in China in 2004 and continues to operate to this day. Tencent Games has been the Chinese publisher of Lineage 2 since 2012.
