[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Apple and Google are in talks over whether to put Google's generative artificial intelligence (AI) "Gemini" into the iPhone.

CNBC quoted Bloomberg's report on the 18th (local time), saying Apple and Google are "actively negotiating."

However, the two companies have not decided on terms and conditions of AI-related contracts or brands, and have not decided how to proceed.

According to sources, Apple has recently held similar discussions with open AI.

Apple and Google have not given official answers to related questions, CNBC said.
