[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Orion said it has become the largest shareholder after paying 548.5 billion won in stock prices to acquire a 25.73% stake in LegoChem Biosciences.
Orion participated in LegoChem Biosciences's third-party paid-in capital increase and was allocated 7,963,283 shares for 59,000 won. It purchased 1.4 million old shares at a base price of 56,186 won from its founder Kim Yong-joo and CEO Park Se-jin to secure a total of 9,363,283 shares.
It plans to develop new drugs through its affiliate LegoChem Biosciences and complete its business portfolio for the group's sustainable growth.
