[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] GS Engineering & Construction (GS E&C) has implemented its 2025 executive reshuffle, focusing on simplifying hierarchies and streamlining its organizational structure.
On November 27, GS E&C announced the integration of executive ranks by merging the roles of executive vice president and senior vice president. This move reduces its previous four-tier hierarchy of president–executive vice president–senior vice president–managing director to a more streamlined three-tier structure: president–executive vice president–managing director. Additionally, the company has consolidated its six business divisions into three.
As part of this restructuring, five executives have been promoted to executive vice president, and seven new managing directors have been appointed.
GS E&C described the changes as part of an efficiency-driven personnel policy that prioritizes role-based positions over seniority and accelerates the development of younger talent within the company.
