Chairman Choi Yun-beom purchased Korea Zinc shares again...14,324 shares in four days

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Choi Yoon-beom, chairman of Korea Zinc, bought KRW 3.8 billion worth of shares of Korea Zinc in the stock market.

Korea Zinc announced on the 26th that Chairman Choi bought 8,727 shares (0.04%) on the 21st and 22nd. Chairman Choi's stake in Korea Zinc increased from 1.78% to 1.82%. Chairman Choi's stake is in the 1% range, but the combined friendly stake exceeds 33%.

Choi also purchased 5,597 shares (0.03%) of Korea Zinc for about 2.5 billion won on the 18th and 19th. They bought an additional stock in a day. It is the first time in about three months that Chairman Choi has bought a new Korea Zinc stock since October last year.

Korea Zinc and Youngpoong, the largest shareholder, have been fiercely competing for stakes since 2022, when Chairman Choi was promoted to managerial control.

Jang Hyung-jin, a Youngpung advisor, bought 64,801 shares (0.31%) of Korea Zinc through private companies CK, HC and Terraix until the 5th of this year. Chang's nephew Jang Se-wook, who holds a 0.35% stake in Korea Zinc, also purchased 243 shares.

Youngpoong Group's stake was 32.27% as of the end of last year.
