[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The number of replies a person can post per article on Naver is limited to 10. Comments that violate the election law will be immediately deleted, and repeatedly detected authors will not be able to write comments.

On the 15th, Naver announced a policy reform plan based on the recommendation of the News Innovation Forum and said it will apply it sequentially from this day.

First of all, to prevent excessive replies to certain articles, Naver has limited the number of replies that can be posted in one article to 10 per person. The National Election Commission will immediately delete comments confirming violations of the election law, and after warning, it plans to limit the writing of comments to those who have been caught repeatedly.

It also provides statistical information on comments in the article to minimize unnecessary misunderstandings. For articles with more than a certain number of comments, it provides information on active participation according to the ratio of comments to cumulative views.

In addition, Naver has come up with various measures to allow users who have been defamed or violated by media reports to claim correction reports, counter-argument reports and future reports.
