[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Hankook Tire & Technology announced on Thursday that it will exclusively supply racing tires for the World Rally Championship (WRC) for the next three years, starting this year.
WRC is an extreme motorsport event where cars reach speeds of up to 200 km/h across diverse terrains, including paved roads, gravel, and snow. As such, durable and consistently performing tires play a crucial role in determining race outcomes.
Hankook Tire will provide top-performance tires, including the Ventus Z215 for dry and wet surfaces, Dynapro R213 for gravel roads, and winter-specialized tires like Winter icept SR20* and Winter ipike SR10W* to support WRC race vehicles.
In addition to WRC, Hankook Tire also sponsors the electric vehicle racing series, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. This makes Hankook the official tire supplier for two of the five FIA World Championships, highlighting its global leadership in racing tire technology—bolstered by its extensive experience supporting over 70 global motorsport events.
