[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Korean Air has begun the process of transferring four European routes (Paris, Rome, Barcelona, and Frankfurt) sequentially to T'way Airlines starting in June. The Korean Air pilots' move to dispatch T'way Airlines has been embodied.

Analysts say that follow-up measures have begun as Korean Air decided to hand over the route to T'way Airlines and start related support after the European Union's rival authorities raised the issue of a monopoly on the European route over its merger with Asiana Airlines.

According to the airline industry on the 15th, Korean Air sent an e-mail to Korean Air's A330 flight attendants in the afternoon of the 12th to recruit applicants for T'way Air.

The recruitment targets are the captain and the vice captain, and the number of people is about 100. The dispatch period is up to two years, and it will be carried out sequentially.

For two years, the dispatched employees maintain their affiliation with Korean Air. It has been confirmed that treatment is the same as the existing level of Korean Air and that additional allowances will be added for dispatched work. However, a Korean Air official said, "We cannot disclose the exact amount."

Korean Air is also known to transfer five A330 units to T'way Airlines. Combining the three A330s currently owned by T'way Airlines, T'way Airlines' long-distance aircraft will increase to eight. T'way Air plans to introduce two more A330 models this year.
