[Alpha Biz= Kim Sang Jin] BTS has made K-pop history as its fifth studio album ARIRANG secured the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for a second consecutive week.

According to a chart preview released on April 5 (local time) by Billboard, BTS maintained its top position, outperforming major releases including BULLY by Kanye West and HADES by Melanie Martinez.

This marks the first time a K-pop album has remained at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for two consecutive weeks.

Previously, the original soundtrack for the animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters OST had reached No. 1 on a non-consecutive basis.

ARIRANG reflects the current identity of BTS, featuring a total of 14 tracks including the title song SWIM.

The track SWIM, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 last week, is expected to remain within the top 10 on this week’s chart, set to be released as early as April 6.
