Police launched an investigation after a night worker in his 60s who went to work at the Coupang delivery camp in Incheon was found dead.
According to the industry on the 8th, worker A (60) was found collapsed in the bathroom at the Coupang Logistics Center in Wonchang-dong, Seo-gu, at around 5:13 a.m.
At the time of discovery, A was in a state of cardiac arrest and moved while undergoing CPR by 119 paramedics who were dispatched after receiving a report, but eventually died.
A is a daily worker and started his first work at 1 a.m. that day. While classifying parcels, he expressed his intention to leave early, saying he was not feeling well, and was found collapsed after stopping by the bathroom while taking a break in the lounge.
In fact, it is known that it has been about two hours since Mr. A worked. According to the bereaved family, A was found to be suffering from chronic diseases such as cerebral infarction.
The delivery camp where A worked is an intermediate logistics stopover where goods from the distribution center are stored. It is known to have less work intensity than distribution centers.
The police plan to request an autopsy to the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause of A's death.
