SK E&S has started to strengthen cooperation with plug power, a global hydrogen energy company, to build a hydrogen ecosystem.
SK E&S announced on the 10th that CEO Choo Hyung-wook met with Andy Marsh, CEO of Plug Power and discussed ways to cooperate with hydrogen by checking the major business status of "SK Plug Hyverse" at CES 2023, the world's largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas on the 5th (local time).
The two companies established a joint venture (JV) Hyverse in January last year and are jointly pursuing hydrogen projects in the Asian market.
Starting with liquefied hydrogen charging stations, the two companies will start cooperating in the hydrogen business in earnest.
This year, SK E&S will start commercial operation of liquefied hydrogen plant in Incheon with an operation capacity of up to 30,000 tons (t).
