As many as 180,000 LG U+ customer information has been leaked.
LG U+ said in a notice on its website on the 10th, "Some information leakage of about 180,000 customers has been confirmed so far."
According to LG U+, the leaked customer's personal information included his name, date of birth, and phone number, and did not include financial information related to payment.
LG U+ announced that after the leakage of customer information was confirmed, each individual was notified through text messages and e-mails.
It was on the 2nd that LG U+ was aware of the information leakage, and it was reported that it requested an investigation to the Police Cyber Investigation Unit and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) the next day.
LG U+ said, "In order to find out when and how the customer information was leaked, we will report it to investigative agencies and government agencies and actively cooperate with the investigation, strengthen the monitoring system, and prepare measures to prevent recurrence according to the results of the investigation by related agencies."
