[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 20th that it has ordered the manufacturer to voluntarily correct (recall) 18,326 units of seven models, including the Audi A6 45 TFSI qu. Premium, which was imported and sold from Volkswagen Group Korea.
Volkswagen will repair the vehicle free of charge (replacement of improved parts) at the official service center from the 20th.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has confirmed that 625 cars of three models, including Niro EV manufactured and sold by Kia, will be leaked due to poor confidentiality of the coolant line inside the integrated power control unit (EPCU), and there is a possibility that the engine will be turned off while driving.
In addition, 553 cars of two models, including Morning, may be injured when the airbag is deployed in low-temperature conditions (-35 degrees) due to poor manufacturing of the driver's seat airbag cover, and the manufacturer will voluntarily take corrective measures.
Two models, including the Morning, will be available from the 26th, and three models, including the Niro EV, will be able to receive free repair (change of parts after inspection) at the service center directly managed by Kia from the 30th of this month.
The 456 printers imported and sold from Mercedes-Benz Korea have been confirmed to have the possibility of accidents, such as the vehicle moving if the shift lever is adjusted only to the P stage without using a parking brake on a sloping road due to an error in the software set value of the transmission control unit.
Therefore, the manufacturer voluntarily takes corrective action, and the vehicle has been undergoing free repair (software update, etc.) at Mercedes-Benz's official service center since the 19th.
