According to the industry on the 19th, LG Display will soon receive applications for voluntary leave from all office workers.
Only those who wish to take a break for 3∼12 months shall be paid 50% of the fixed salary.
The number of office workers on leave is expected to be around 100.
LG Display has been taking paid leave of absence for production workers since November last year.
In addition, according to the reorganization of the business structure, some personnel are being converted to affiliates.
Such a measure is interpreted as a self-rescue measure to increase the efficiency of manpower operation and restore financial soundness.
LG Display posted an operating loss of 488.3 billion won in the second quarter of last year and 759.3 billion won in the third quarter. Stock industry sources predict that LG Display will also post an operating loss of around 600 billion won in the fourth quarter.
LG Display is speeding up its reorganization of its business structure by shutting down its LCD production plant for 7th generation TVs in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, at the end of last year due to worsening LCD business conditions.
