[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 10th that it has topped the overall score for two consecutive years, beating Toyota Group and GM in the '2023 Automobile Endurability Quality Survey' by US market research firm JD Power. The JD Power survey is considered the most prestigious vehicle quality evaluation in the United States.
In Hyundai Motor Group, Genesis ranked second by brand with 144 points, Kia (152 points) ranked third, and Hyundai Motor (170 points) ranked eighth, ranking first with an average of 160 points, beating Toyota Group (163 points) and GM (165 points) for the second consecutive year.
By model, Kia K3 (currently named Forte) won the "Best Quality Award" by ranking first in the semi-medium-sized car, K5 (Optima) in the mid-sized car, and Sportage in the semi-medium-sized SUV class, respectively. The Hyundai Motor Avante (Elantra) received the semi-medium-sized car, the Hyundai Motor Santa Fe received the mid-sized SUV, the Kia Sorento received the Upper midsize SUV, and the Kia Carnival (current name Sedona) received the 'Excellent Quality Award' in the minivan class.
