[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] KT is working with Intel to innovate Wi-Fi 7 technology. Wi-Fi 7 is a next-generation Wi-Fi standard based on the '802.11be standard' being studied by the Electrical and Electronics Association (IEEE).
According to related industries on the 2nd, KT signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Intel to stabilize Wi-Fi 7 performance and create user experience at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023) exhibition hall, the world's largest mobile communication exhibition.
Through this agreement, the two companies will cooperate with each other for technology application and promotion for fast market entry of Wi-Fi 7.
In the future, KT will develop a Wi-Fi router (AP) and Intel will develop a Wi-Fi 7 solution that will continue the market lead on PCs, and cooperate in innovating and stabilizing technology through mutual compatibility tests related to Wi-Fi 7.
