[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Bucket Studio, well-known as an affiliate of Bithumb, a virtual asset exchange, was suspended on the 3rd after confirming a complaint against embezzlement and breach of trust.
Bucket Studio announced on the 3rd that it confirmed that an indictment was filed against Kang who used the chairman's title in the afternoon on charges of breach of trust by granting the right to a convertible bond call option for free. The amount of embezzlement is 32.2 billion won, equivalent to 16.1% of equity capital.
Kang, who was mentioned in the disclosure, is Kang Jong-hyun, known as the real owner of Bithumb, and prosecutors arrested Kang late last month on charges of breach of trust, embezzlement and fraudulent transactions under the Specific Economic Crime-weighted Punishment Act and the Capital Market Act
Meanwhile, the KOSDAQ Market Headquarters of the Korea Exchange announced on the same day that it would suspend trading of sovereignty as Bucket Studio was subject to a real review of its eligibility for listing. The expiration date of the transaction suspension is whether it is a decision on whether it is subject to a substantive examination of eligibility for listing.
