[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] SK Networks has invested $ 22 million (about 28.9 billion won) in Humane, a US artificial intelligence (AI) device company.
According to industry sources on the 9th, SK Networks has secured a total of $22 million in direct and indirect investment in the 'Series C' round, in which Humane will raise $100 million to produce and develop commercialized products through U.S. investment firm Hico Capital.
The round, in which Kindle Ventures was the lead investor, was joined by SK Networks, Microsoft, Volvo and LG Ventures, along with existing investors Open AI founders Sam Altman, Tiger Global and Valia Ventures.
Humane is creating AI-based innovative software platforms and devices, which will accelerate its mission to provide the next generation of personal mobile computing led by AI.
