[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] P & O Chemical, a joint venture between POSCO Chemical and OCI, has begun producing electron-grade hydrogen peroxide used for semiconductor cleaning.
According to related industries on the 12th, P&O Chemical has obtained certification for electronic hydrogen peroxide products and is conducting commercial production earlier this year.
P&O Chemical is a hydrogen peroxide joint venture established by POSCO Chemical and OCI at a 51% to 49% stake in order to expand its chemical business using seasonal by-products.
P&O Chemical has invested about 150 billion won for commercial production of hydrogen peroxide. Analysts say that it is expected that its performance will improve as production of its flagship products has begun in earnest.
P&O Chemical is also planning to complete pitch production for cathode materials in July.
