[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Kakao launched an open beta service for ddmm, a generative AI-based chatbot, but temporarily stopped it in order to secure stability within a day.
Kakao Brain, an AI subsidiary of Kakao, said on the 20th, "ddmm will reorganize its project as of 4 p.m. on the same day due to an explosive increase in the number of users exceeding internal expectations, with the number of channel registrants exceeding 12,000 within 24 hours of its opening."
"We will announce the expected timing of the reopening later," he added.
Earlier on the previous day (19th), Kakao launched an open beta service of 'ddmm', an AI chatbot service. When a user asks a question, AI answers the question.
