[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hyosung Advanced Materials announced on the 20th that it has appointed Cho Yong-soo (photo) as its new CEO. Cho, who was appointed as an in-house director at a regular shareholders' meeting on the 16th, will serve as CEO through an elected board of directors on the 18th.
He graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in public administration. Later, he joined Hyosung BASF in 1987 and went through sales, marketing, planning, and strategy at Hyosung Group.
He was promoted to assistant director in 2008 and led the growth of tire reinforcement business and industrial materials sector. After the spin-off in June 2018, he served as the head of Hyosung Advanced Materials Management Strategy.
