RO filter has recently become more utilized in lithium extraction business. This filter can reduce energy consumption compared to traditional methods.
The LG Chem announced on the 22nd that it supplied 10,000 RO filters to China's Zhongxin Group's 'Guoan Lithium Extraction Project'.
China is currently the most active producer of lithium extraction and processing. About 7% of the world's lithium resources are buried in China, 80% of which exist in salt lakes.
Currently, China is carrying out a total of nine salt lake lithium extraction projects. Five of them are working on lithium extraction projects using RO filters. The Guoan project, which LG Chem supplied RO filters this time, is the largest salt lake extraction project in China.
