[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Emro, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based supply chain management software (SW) company recently acquired by Samsung SDS, recorded its best performance ever last year.
Emro announced on the 23rd that it recorded sales of 58.6 billion won, operating profit of 6.49 billion won, and net profit of 6.58 billion won last year. Sales rose 24.7% year-on-year and net profit rose 22.7%.
However, operating profit decreased by 3% from the previous year.
Sales growth last year was attributed to a 17.5% year-on-year increase in technology-based businesses (22.3 billion won).
On the 15th, Emro was incorporated as a subsidiary when Samsung SDS acquired a 33.39% stake in 111.8 billion won.
