[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] The national mid-sized sedan Sonata has returned to the level of a new car. It is expected to find a breakthrough in the sluggish mid-sized sedan market based on its sleek design and enhanced marketability.
Hyundai Motor unveiled the Sonata the Edge design, a partially modified model of the eighth-generation Sonata, for the first time on the 27th.
Sonata The Edge is a partially changed model that will be introduced four years after its launch in March 2019. Unlike the partial change model that trims some of the decorative elements on the front and back, the Sonata The Edge has changed most of the exterior parts of the body to change the level of a new car.
The interior is focused on the driver driving experience. It is composed of a 12.3-inch digital cluster and an infotainment system with a 'panoramic curved display' that connects the display in a curved form.
The wood pattern garnish applied to the dashboard emphasizes the horizontal line of interior space and the extended sense of space. The console space was designed more comfortably by applying an electronic shift column that moved the gear knob to the steering wheel.
Hyundai Motor has also unveiled a high-performance N-line model along with a general model. The model emphasizes a sleek driving sensibility with a larger front bumper grille, a 19-inch wheel, a rear spoiler and a dual twin tip muffler. Hyundai Motors is planning to display Sonata the Edge at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show, which will open at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do on the 31st.
