[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Korea Gas Corporation announced on the 28th that it held a regular general meeting of shareholders at its headquarters in Daegu and confirmed the non-dividend.
KOGAS announced its policy not to pay dividends to shareholders this time, as receivables for civil city gas, which was 1.8 trillion won at the end of 2021, increased to 8.6 trillion won at the end of last year.
It is the first time that KOGAS has decided not to pay dividends since going public.
It is reported that some minority shareholders strongly urged the gas rate increase at the shareholders' meeting on the day, saying, "If the receivables situation is prolonged, we will file a lawsuit against the government as well as the management."
"We will make every effort to secure financial soundness and overcome the current crisis," said KOGAS. "We will do our best to improve shareholder value through constant communication with minority shareholders in the future."
