Naver announced on the 30th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Public Administration and Housing (MOMRAH) and the Ministry of Investment (MISA) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and agreed to cooperate in various ways in the state-level digital transition pushed by the Saudi government.
Attending the signing ceremony were Saudi Arabia's Public Administration and Housing Minister Majed al-Hogail, Vice Minister Moussa Al-Otavi, Investment Minister Khalid Al-Fali, Vice Minister Fahad Al-Naim, Naver ESG· Foreign Policy CEO Chae Sun-joo, Naver Labs CEO Seok Sang-ok and Naver Cloud Executive Director Han Sang-young.
In addition to the Neom City project, Saudi Arabia is making various efforts for digital transformation at the national level. Naver, which covers high-tech areas such as AI· Robotics, Cloud, Autonomous Driving, and Digital Twin, will also join the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs and the investment department as partners.
Under the agreement, Naver, Naver Labs, Naver Cloud and Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Public Administration and Housing and the Ministry of Investment will comprehensively cooperate in building various digital services that can be easily and conveniently used by Saudi citizens. It is expected that Tim Naver's AI· robot-based digital twin technology solution will be used to simulate and monitor the Saudi urban unit, or that the 'super app (tentative name)' provided by the Saudi Ministry of Public Administration and Housing will be developed based on Tim Naver's super-large AI and cloud.
