[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Customer personal information was leaked from Hanwha Resort's website.
"We have confirmed that the reservation information of some customers reserved until June 30 has been exposed when the reservation is confirmed in the morning of April 6∼7 due to a temporary error in the system," Hanwha Hotels & Resorts said in a notice on its website on the 7th.
"The cause is an interface error in the DB server of Hanwha Resort's website," he said. "As soon as we recognized this fact, we reported it to the Personal Information Committee."
Hanwha Hotel & Resort said, "We will inform you of measures to prevent recurrence and compensation later," adding, "We sincerely apologize for causing concern."
The company is figuring out the exact circumstances and the extent of the damage.
