[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Hyundai Mobis announced on the 17th that it succeeded in developing the world's first rollable display (Rollable Display) for vehicles.
The rollable display developed by Hyundai Mobis is a technology in which navigation and other driving information screens move up and down and roll up. When you turn off the engine, the screen disappears completely, and only one-third of the screen protrudes while driving, displaying minimal driving information.
When you select a navigation mode, the screen can be enlarged to two-thirds, and video contents can be enlarged to a large screen with a 16:9 ratio when parking or charging an electric vehicle.
Rollable displays have been introduced in some smartphone and TV markets, but this is the first time that they have been developed for vehicles.
Hyundai Mobis plans to win global orders for rollable displays for vehicles in the future.
