[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] LS Cable & System participated in the largest transmission network project ever and won orders of 2 trillion won. LS Cable is worth 2 trillion won from Dutch state-run power company TenneT
It announced on the 8th that it has won an order for ultra-high voltage direct current transmission (HVDC) cable. It is the largest amount ever won by a wire company in the world.
In the project to connect the North Sea offshore wind farm with inland Germany and the Netherlands with HVDC cables, LS Cable succeeded in winning orders by forming a consortium with Belgian builders Jan De Nul and Denys.
LS Cable & System plans to supply 525㎸ (kilowatt) undersea and underground cables from 2026.
