[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] HD Hyundai Energy Solution, an affiliate of HD Hyundai's solar energy division, won the first order in the African market.
HD Hyundai Energy Solution announced on the 22nd that it recently signed a contract with Portugal's MCA to supply solar modules of 22㎿. The MCA plans to install the solar energy product in a project to build power plants in Bayundo and Kuitu, ordered by the Angolan government. The company will supply 500W solar modules to MCA by August.
The solar module of HD Hyundai Energy Solution can absorb solar energy not only on the front but also on the back, resulting in more than 30% higher power generation than conventional modules. In addition, a "half-cut" technology that divides a single cell into two and connects it to each other is applied to reduce current loss and increase power generation efficiency.
Starting with the supply, the company plans to expand its inroads into the African market, where demand for solar energy is rising.
