[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] SM Entertainment has announced a strategy to launch three new IPs (intellectual property rights) this year, including a new boy group. SM's new male idol is the first since NCT's debut in 2016. It is the first time in seven years that a new man, Pink Blood, will be born.

SM released 'SM 3.0: NEW IP 2023’ video' on its official YouTube channel on the 24th. A total of three teams, including NCT's new team, a new boy group and a new girl group, will make their debut this year. NCT's new team is the final step in NCT IP's 'infinite expansion'. Two Japanese debut candidates will be unveiled as SM Rookies, and a team will be formed by adding members selected as pre-debut reality shows. SM Rookies are SM's free debut team.

SM's new boy group will be joined by SM Rookies Eun-seok and Seung-han to existing NCT members Sung-chan and Shotaro. Along with this, the group is composed of members of Korean and American nationality. The new girl group plans to form members, including those preparing for their debut, which went through an open evaluation session in March. SM's new female idol has been 3 years since the spa. My goal is to debut in the fourth quarter of this year. It is expected to shoot the signal of '5th generation idol' in time.
