[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., an intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai Motor Co., said on the 30th that it recently signed a contract with a Canadian-based shipping company to build two petrochemical product carriers (PC carriers). The total order amount is 127 billion won.
The ship will be built by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard and will be delivered in March 2025.
HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has won a total of 88 orders so far. The cumulative order amount was $ 10.48 billion, tentatively achieving 66.6% of the annual order target of $ 15.74 billion.
By ship, there are 29 △PC carriers, 3 tankers, 24 △ container ships, 16 △ liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, 14 LPG carriers, and 2 △ medium-sized gas carriers.
