[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] LG Innotek has completed the development of 'Necslide-M', a new stereoscopic lighting product for vehicles, and is preparing to supply it to major customers.

It has become brighter than previous products, but it is characterized by thinner thickness. The company plans to target the global automotive lighting market of 30 trillion won for new products.

LG Innotek announced on March 31 that it has developed Neckslide-M, a flexible (variable) stereoscopic light for vehicles. Neckslide is a vehicle lighting component made by attaching several light sources to a thin substrate. The company has introduced related products to the market since 2019.

The newly developed Neckslide-M is applied with resin, a soft bending material. It can be mounted on various vehicle lighting devices such as day lights (DRL) and rear combination lamps (RCL).

LG Innotek plans to accelerate the preoccupation of the global vehicle lighting market with new products. High-end models need differentiated designs, but LG Innotek believes that Neckslide-M with thin and bending properties is the best. It is because we can implement various designs.

According to market researcher Report Insight, the global automotive lighting market was estimated at $ 21.9 billion (about 29 trillion won) last year. By 2030, it is expected to grow to $ 32.08 billion (about 42.45 trillion won).
