[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Danal made an announcement on the 7th that it has appointed Park Ji-man, head of its payment business division (COO), and Baek Hyun-sook, head of its management planning division (CFO), as its new CEO. The two nominees will take office as co-representatives after a board meeting in the future.
In addition to expanding credit card PG membership operations, Park Ji-man has led payment businesses such as Damoum, an integrated payment platform, Danal-Union Pay prepaid card, and Danal battery card. Danal evaluated Park as a key talent for entering the offline market for mobile phone payments.
Co-representative Baek Hyun-sook has played a pivotal role in the company as a financial officer of Danal, including finance, funds, foreign exchange and IR. It has also led to growth as a listed company by minimizing risks in domestic and international crises.
Danal said the newly appointed co-representatives have been in charge of payment business and finance for many years and played a role in helping Danal become the No. 1 company in payment share. He also added that he carried out personnel policies based on skills regardless of school ties, regionalism, and gender.
