[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] NHN Cloud announced on September 9 that it has won a project to build a next-generation IT system for Shinhan EZ Damage Insurance, a subsidiary of Shinhan Financial Group. Shinhan EZ Insurance's main system is converted to the NHN cloud.

Shinhan EZ Sonbo's next-generation IT system construction project aims to introduce public cloud services to form a usage-based infrastructure environment without a large initial infrastructure cost, and to establish a system environment that is flexibly distributed in the event of a core system load.

Based on the strength of its open stack technology, NHN Cloud has won this project for its high utilization in building cloud-based financial platforms and linking open source software. The company explains that it is significant because it is a case of converting a large-scale system into a public cloud in the financial sector where it is not easy to introduce the cloud due to service stability, connectivity, security and regulation.

In the future, NHN Cloud will convert major systems such as Shinhan EZ Sonbo's △ channel system △ channel hub △ customer data platform △ product and service platform △ insurance core system △ management and support system △ information system based on its financial-specific cloud services.

NHN Cloud also signed a business agreement with Shinhan Investment & Securities last year to introduce core service clouds in the securities industry and promote related research and development.
