[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Naver will soon launch a new Whalebook product to strengthen its competitiveness in the educational laptop market.
Whalebook is a series of laptops with Google's Chrome operating system (OS) and its own OS whale, like Chromebooks that specialize in education at a low price.
According to the information technology (IT) industry on October 10, Naver is preparing to launch a new Welsh Book series, 'Whalebook Poin2-W12'. Whale was transplanted into the laptop of FourtoLab, known as the only domestic Chromebook manufacturer after Lenovo and LG Electronics. Like the previous works, it is expected to supply elementary, middle and high schools nationwide through the procurement agency.
Naver is aiming to expand sales of Whalebooks against Chromebooks amid opportunities in the educational laptop market, where demand has grown due to the spread of non-face-to-face culture. Ultimately, it will expand its browser and OS market share through this.
