[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Naver Financial announced on the 9th that the amount of transactions and service use per person by Naver Pay on-site payment users has increased since the on-site payment link between Naver Pay and Samsung Pay in late March.
According to Naver Financial, per capita transactions of Naver Pay on-site payment users rose 174% in May compared to before the introduction of the Samsung Pay function. In particular, the number of loyal customers who made on-site payments more than 30 times in May increased about eight times compared to March. Their payments account for 37% of Naver Pay's total on-site payments.
On March 29, Naver Financial linked offline payment with Samsung Pay. It is now possible to make on-site payments through the Naver Pay app at 3 million offline merchants nationwide where Samsung Pay can be paid.
As the number of payments has soared and gained popularity, Naver Financial will expand the number of points it offers for on-site payments from 30 times a month to up to 50 times a month. In May, the number of points drawn by users was about 16 million, up 175% from before the introduction of the Samsung Pay function.
Point picking is provided every time Naver Pay on-site payment is used at Naver Pay QR payment stores such as 3 million Samsung Pay payment offices, convenience stores, and cafes nationwide.
