[Exclusive] Chairman Jae-yong Lee ordered to reduce the role of top executives

In particular, it is said that the role of Samsung Electronics' top management is likely to be reduced.

According to Alpha Economy coverage on the 14th, Samsung Electronics is known to replace executives of major posts through point executive personnel appointments as early as next month.

Executive appointments will be implemented under the direct direction of Chairman Lee Jae-yong, and the role of top management is also expected to be significantly reduced in the form of holding them responsible for poor performance and internal control failures.

An official who is familiar with the internal situation at Samsung Electronics said, "The top management of Samsung Electronics is likely to reduce its role by taking responsibility for the failure of internal control," adding, "I understand that the widespread warmth within Samsung Electronics and the finding of corruption, which comes from taking care of my customers, are the meaning of this personnel management."

According to Samsung Electronics and others, the sluggishness of Samsung Electronics, including sluggish semiconductor performance, is attributable to a delay in the introduction of the latest technologies by executives to share their interests while taking care of their customers.

Chairman Lee Jae-yong is said to have ordered the personnel reshuffle of points, including the reduction of Han Jong-hee's role, in anger at the related reports.

Samsung Electronics told Alpha Economy, "We do not know anything about intermediate personnel," adding, "It is impossible to confirm personnel appointments before the announcement."
