[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] About 270,000 units of five models, including Hyundai Motor's G80 GV80, will be corrected (recall) due to seatbelt defects.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said on the 21st that 326,723 units of 22 models manufactured, imported and sold by Hyundai Motor, Kia Benz and GM Korea will be recalled after defects were found.
First of all, 273643 units of five models, including the G80 GV80 GV70, will be recalled because they may lose their parts in the event of a crash due to poor internal parts of the front seat belt regulator. In the case of G80 vehicles, vehicles manufactured from April 10, 2019 to February 13, 2023 are targeted. In addition, separately, GV60 2435 units are recalled because of the possibility of cracks in the power transfer device and damage.
Kia's Bongo 3 36,171 units will be recalled as fuses could break due to design errors in the auxiliary heater.
9,178 units of 10 models, including the Mercedes-Benz S580 4MATIC, will be recalled because the pump motor power supply unit can be recognized as a failure during the initial vehicle diagnosis due to a software error in the automobile stability control unit.
GM Korea's 2294 Equinox units will be recalled for non-compliance with safety standards as the thickness of the seat attachment device for children's protection is thicker than the standard.
The Ford Mustang 2,210 units will be recalled because the screen may not be displayed due to faulty rear camera wiring tubes, while the Volkswagen Bentley Flyingsper V8 724 will be recalled due to poor back seat entertainment screen fixing.
Sixty-five units of the two models, including the FMK Ferrari 296 GTB, will be recalled due to possible fuel leaks due to poor fuel tank connection pipes.
