[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] The Fair Trade Commission is investigating Krafton and Kakao Games for subcontracting.
According to industry sources on the 27th, the FTC's new industry subcontracting team sent investigators to Crafton headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and Kakao Games headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, to conduct an on-site investigation.
It is known that major game companies, including them, are investigating subcontractors for violations of subcontracting laws.
An FTC official said, "We cannot confirm the facts regarding the investigation."
The FTC said it plans to focus on monitoring unfair trade practices in film, drama and games this year.
