POSCO International has joined hands with the world's largest green energy operator

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] POSCO International announced on the 27th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOA·) for Pohang offshore wind power and green business cooperation with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), one of the global green energy asset management companies. 

 

CIP's operating assets amount to about 28 billion euros (about 40 trillion won). Fourteen countries, including South Korea, are developing offshore wind power projects worth about 50GW.

The two companies have agreed to cooperate in the joint development of offshore wind power projects and green business development such as green hydrogen and ammonia in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do. 

 

POSCO International will develop a 300㎿ offshore wind power complex in waters near Sinan County, South Jeolla Province, by 2027, and participate in the joint development of offshore wind power projects being pursued in the East Sea region. It plans to expand wind power generation to 2GW by 2030.
