[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hyundai Autoever will invest 1.1 trillion won over five years to upgrade its vehicle software (SW)-oriented business. Through this, the goal is to achieve sales of 5 trillion won by 2027.
Hyundai Autoever held the '2023 CEO Investor Day' on the 28th and unveiled its strengthened future growth strategy and financial goals. After announcing its business innovation strategy at CEO Investor Day in 2021, it held an event again in two years to share its mid-term strategy. "We will aim to strengthen the competitiveness of our customers by providing mobility SW solutions from digital conversion (DX) to software-driven vehicles (SDV)," said Seo Jung-sik at the event. "We will find future growth engines and generate profits to lead the company's sustainable development."
Based on this, Hyundai Autoever has continued to grow at an annual average of 14% and proposed a goal of achieving 5 trillion won in sales in 2027. Vehicle SW is expected to grow 19% annually and enterprise IT is expected to grow 12%.
Over the next five years, up to 1.1 trillion won will be invested in areas including research and development (R&D). The global workforce, which currently stands at 6,000, also plans to continue to expand to 8,100 by 2027.
