[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Kakao Pay Securities will launch a stock trading service through Kakao Talk in conjunction with 'National Messenger' KakaoTalk.
According to the financial investment industry on the 5th, Kakao Pay Securities will introduce a service to trade stocks on KakaoTalk as early as this month.
Kakao Pay Securities has already announced last year that it will establish a system that enables stock sharing, market price confirmation, and simple order stock trading in the KakaoTalk chat room. When you press the trade button in KakaoTalk, a page provided by Kakao Pay Securities appears to support simple trading.
The company originally planned to start the service in the second half of last year, but as it was delayed, it has been working on related tasks with the aim of providing services within the year. However, the details of the KakaoTalk stock trading service have not been confirmed yet.
A company official said, "We are planning to disclose the stock trading service linked to KakaoTalk step by step starting this month, and details are under internal discussion."
Kakao Pay Securities aims to push ahead with the plan while establishing a step-by-step roadmap for strengthening links with KakaoTalk. Rather than generating short-term profits, the company plans to grow the service stably through a long-term strategy.
