[Exclusive] Hyundai Motor Company Media Connected service interruption case after case due to insufficient billing system

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Hyundai Motor Group's Media Connected is causing inconvenience to Genesis high-end vehicle drivers due to its lax billing system.

According to the Alpha economic report on the 6th, a number of Genesis drivers who complained about the unknown media connected service error were found at the Genesis-only vehicle management office, including Hyundai Motor's Blue Hands.

It is known that Blue Hands and others have failed to resolve the driver's inconvenience on time despite various failure repairs, such as trying to reset it several times to resolve the interruption of the media connection that includes Genesis navigation.

An official from a vehicle management office exclusively for Genesis in Gangnam, Seoul said, “Among Genesis vehicles that have been brought in due to other breakdowns, the media connected service does not work properly, so we are only making inquiries to the head office or related CR.” It's just frustrating not having it."

 



As a result, many Genesis vehicles that suffer from the suspension of media connected services have inadvertently used paid services such as Melon and have collected unpaid fees such as Hyundai Motor's interest due to overdue fees and late payments.

Hyundai Motor's unpaid service fees have been reported to have been continuously collected in the form of text message services and phone calls from counselors. The payment method is usually guided by Hyundai Motor's designated account number in the form of cash deposit rather than a separate PG, and ends in the order of normal operation of the service at the time of payment.

 


 

Hyundai Motor's collection of Genesis drivers is known to be a small case of between 10,000 won and 30,000 won.

Lee Gil-woo, a representative lawyer of law firm LKS, said, "Hyundai Motor's suspension of media connection due to unpaid service fees is similar to incomplete sales," adding, "Hyundai Motor seems to be experiencing errors experienced by ICT companies such as Naver and Kakao more than a decade ago."

Lawyer Lee Gil-woo pointed out, "In order for Chairman Chung Eui-sun's SW-centered Hyundai Motor strategy to shine, accurate billing system, content fee settlement, CR system, and simple PG should be preceded."
