[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] KT announced that a total of 20 people applied as a result of the open recruitment of CEO candidates from the 4th to 6 pm yesterday (12th).
In addition, one candidate was recommended by a shareholder with a stake of more than 0.5% and six candidates by an external professional institution.
However, the list of candidates was not released.
These 27 will be screened along with in-house candidates who meet the in-house candidate qualifications (such as group vice president or higher and more than two years in office).
KT explained that Park Jong-wook, who is currently an acting CEO, will not participate in the candidate for the CEO in order to ensure fairness in the screening process and will not be involved in the selection process.
KT plans to finalize the final one person in the first week of next month after reviewing documents and interviews for the newly formed CEO candidates, and the candidate will be appointed as the new CEO through a general meeting of shareholders at the end of August.
