[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] SPC Group made an official apology on the 8th for an accident in which a worker was caught in a machine at its Shany bakery in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
"I would like to express my deepest condolences to the employees and their families of the accident," SPC said in a statement. "We will faithfully investigate the exact cause of the accident."
"Immediately after the accident, the employee was transferred to the hospital through emergency measures and 119 reports," he said. "All production lines were shut down immediately."
Earlier at 12:40 p.m., a female worker in her 50s working at the Shany plant in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, was caught between the mobile lift and the facility.
Mr. A was taken to the hospital with a cardiac arrest. Fortunately, he's back breathing and is preparing for surgery at the hospital.
