When the National Pension Service deems it necessary to engage more actively, it shall change its purpose of possession to general or management participation. If it is changed to general investment, it will be possible to make shareholder proposals that do not constitute participation in management, such as changes in the articles of association, requests for appointment and dismissal of executives, and dividend policy proposals. Where improvement is not made despite private dialogue, closed-door intensive management, public intensive management, etc., the shareholder proposal for participation in management shall be determined. If you hold more than 5% of the stake in a listed company, you should report the purpose of holding the stake as one of simple, general, and management participation.

The National Pension Service changed the investment purpose of these eight companies from general to simple investment in June.
An official of the National Pension Service explained, "The purpose of investment can change as early as five days because it follows the standards set internally."
