[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] SK Hynix has mass-produced 'LPDR5X' (photo), a state-of-the-art mobile DRAM, and started supplying it to Chinese smartphone maker Oppo.
SK Hynix announced on November 11 that it has delivered LPDDR5X 24GB (GB), a high-performance DRAM for mobile devices, to customers such as Oppo. SK Hynix succeeded in mass production of LPDDR5X in November last year, and this time, it developed a product that increased its capacity to 24GB for the first time with mobile DRAM and connected it to sales.
LPDDR is a DRAM standard for mobile products, including smartphones and tablets, and 5X is the latest standard. Mobile products with high power efficiency LPDDR5X can use batteries for that long. The data processing speed of this DRAM is 68GB per second, and 13 full HD (high definition) movies can be processed in one second.
Oppo installed this product in the latest flagship smartphone, 'One Plus Ace 2 Pro' and released it on the 10th.
